Dr. Lo comprises a highly trained and experienced musician who are passionate about teaching. She is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and provide personalized instruction tailored to each student's unique needs.

Dr. Jessie Lo work closely with each student to develop a personalized lesson plan that addresses individual needs and goals. She emphasizes building a strong foundation while nurturing each student’s unique strengths. She offers both online and in-person private lessons, organized by skill level, for a variety of instruments. If you’re uncertain about which level is right for you, GMAC also provides placement tests to assist in the selection process.
Music theory is essential for a comprehensive understanding of music. GMAC offers classes that cover everything from basic concepts to advanced techniques, helping you become a well-rounded musician. GMAC has successfully prepared the majority of our students to achieve scores of 90% or higher on GMTA theory tests and ABRSM exams.
GMAC holds 3-4 recitals annually, showcasing our students' high-quality performances. We also provide dress rehearsals before auditions to give students valuable experience. In May, students who demonstrate strong commitment throughout the school year may be awarded a trophy as a mark of their achievement. Each recital is followed by a reception.
Students who are motivated and passionate about music are encouraged to participate in auditions, competitions, and festivals. GMAC has extensive experience with GMTA local, regional, and state auditions, the Bach Competition, the Romantic Competition, the Atlanta Music Club Scholarship Competition, GMEA All-State auditions, and more. Dr. Jessie Lo at GMAC is a leading piano teacher preparing students for ABRSM certificates (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music). Her students frequently achieve Distinction or Merit awards in Piano Exams for Grades 3-8. Dr. Jessie HsinLan Chien Lo is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher (NCTM) by the Music Teachers National Association in the USA. She founded the Georgia Musical Arts Center, LLC in 2013 and has been teaching music for over 30 years. Dr. Lo has been a certified Music Educator in Taiwan when she was 20. She has been serving as the piano audition chair for the Cobb County Music Teachers Association since 2015.
Dr. Lo efficiently integrates her knowledge of piano performance and piano pedagogy to better convey her expertise. She has served as adjunct faculty at various universities, teaching Private Piano and Piano Classes. In addition to performing in faculty recitals, she has accompanied numerous instrumental recitals.
As a dedicated teacher, Dr. Lo has successfully prepared students for admission and scholarships in piano performance programs at many universities, as well as for talent and gifted music programs in local high schools. Her students consistently achieve top awards in piano competitions and auditions each year. She has received numerous awards for vocal and instrumental accompaniment, and has prepared students to win top prizes in state solo competitions and international chamber music competitions.
In addition to instrumental accompaniment, Dr. Lo also teaches vocal and GMTA /ABRSM music theory both online and in person. She has helped many students to earn ABRSM certificates in Piano Exams and Music Theory.
Dr. Lo earned a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa. She holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education from National Taipei Teachers’ College and a master's degree in Piano Performance from The Boston Conservatory.
Zoe completed a dual degree program in Violin Performance (BA) and Arts Management and Entrepreneurship (MA) at the Mannes School of Music. She has performed as a soloist with the Walton Chamber Orchestra, playing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. Zoe has won numerous competitions in both violin and piano, passed the ABRSM Theory Exam, and has successfully prepared many students for acceptance into GMEA All-State. She gives violin lessons (beginner to advanced), piano lessons (beginner to intermediate), music theory, and ear training at all levels. She is skillful in teaching Sight-reading for All-State Audition. Zoe resides in New Jersey and provides lessons both in person and online. Dr. Dan has been playing classical and electric guitar for over 30 years. He gives guitar lessons both online and in person, helping students achieve significant progress in a short period. His band, Stinky Tofu, performs regularly at local festivals each year. Ethan has been the principal cellist of the Walton Chamber Orchestra and a cellist with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra since 2023. He also serves as principal or assistant principal cellist at the GMEA All-State Full Orchestra each year. Ethan has earned first place in the American Protégé International Concerto Competition and has performed at Carnegie Hall in both 2017 and 2023. He is currently a cello performance major and Computer Science minor in the Georgia Governor's Honors Program for 2024. Ethan's videos of cello excerpts have garnered thousands of views. Ethan Lo earned ABRSM Diploma in Cello Performance in 2023. He received distinction award from ABRSM Piano, G8 in 2022. He won the first place at American Portege Concerto Competition and Performed at Carnegie Hall in Nov. 2023. Ethan also won a $250 scholarship at Atlanta Music Club Scholarship Competition in 2024.
